Prompt library

The prompt library is where you save prompts you use often and drop them into the chat composer by typing /. Instead of retyping the same request each time, save it once and reuse it. Prompts can be private to you, or shared so everyone in your workspace can use them.

Where to find it

Go to Settings and open Prompts. This is where you create, edit, and delete your prompts.

Prompts are split into two sections:

  • My prompts - private to you.
  • Shared - available to everyone in the workspace.

Create a prompt

  1. On the Prompts page, click New prompt.
  2. Give it a Title - this is the label you will see when inserting it (e.g. “Draft a letter of demand”).
  3. Write the Prompt - the text that gets inserted into the chat composer.
  4. Click Create prompt.

You can also create a prompt without leaving chat. Type / in the composer and choose New prompt at the bottom of the menu.

Sharpen it with Improve

Inside the create or edit dialog, click Improve to have Parachute rewrite the prompt for clarity and specificity. Review the result before saving. This is the same rewrite used by improve prompt in the composer.

Insert a prompt in chat

  1. Place your cursor in the chat composer.
  2. Type /. A menu appears listing your prompts, grouped into My prompts and Shared.
  3. Keep typing to filter the list by title.
  4. Select a prompt. Its text is inserted into the composer, ready for you to edit and send.

The prompt text is inserted exactly as you saved it, so you can add details or tweak the wording before sending. If you have no saved prompts, typing / does nothing and the character is entered as normal text.

The / menu is available anywhere the chat composer appears, including the Microsoft Word add-in.

Personal and shared prompts

Every member of your workspace can:

  • Create, edit, and delete their own personal prompts.
  • See and use every shared prompt in the workspace.

Only admins can create, edit, or delete shared prompts. Personal prompts stay private to their owner, and admins cannot edit or delete another person’s personal prompts.

Edit or delete a prompt

Each prompt card has two icons on the right:

  • Edit (pencil) - opens the dialog to change the title or prompt.
  • Delete (bin) - removes the prompt after you confirm. This cannot be undone.
