Meeting Notetaker

Parachute’s Meeting Notetaker joins your video calls as a bot called “Parachute Notetaker”. It records the conversation, and automatically generates structured notes once the meeting ends. No more scrambling to capture key decisions or action items.

The Meeting Notetaker works with meeting URL links from the following platforms:

  • Zoom - zoom.us and regional subdomains (us02web.zoom.us, us04web.zoom.us, etc.)
  • Microsoft Teams - teams.microsoft.com links
  • Google Meet - meet.google.com links
  1. Open the Meeting modal - click New Chat in the sidebar, then select Meeting (or press Ctrl+M)
  2. Paste your meeting link - enter the URL for your Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet call
  3. Accept the bot - Parachute Notetaker will request to join the meeting. Accept the request to let it in
  4. Bot joins the call - after joining, Parachute Notetaker appears as a participant in your meeting
  5. Recording and transcription - the bot records and transcribes the conversation in real time
  6. Notes generated - once the meeting ends, Parachute processes the transcript and produces structured notes
  7. Review in-app - notes appear as a dedicated thread in Parachute

Parachute generates a structured summary covering:

  • Title - an auto-generated meeting title
  • Summary - a 2-3 sentence overview of the meeting
  • Key discussion points - the main topics covered
  • Decisions made - any conclusions or agreements reached
  • Action items - tasks to follow up on, with optional assignee and deadline
  • Open questions - unresolved topics that need further discussion
  • Attendees - a list of meeting participants

Meeting recording costs 10 credits per hour, prorated by the actual duration of the meeting. For example, a 30-minute meeting costs 5 credits.

See Credits for more on how the credit system works.
