Onboarding your first client
This guide walks through the practical steps of onboarding your first client onto Parachute - from how to position it as part of your services to completing the first verification.
The most successful firms package Parachute as part of a broader service offering rather than selling it as a standalone tool. A typical approach:
- Bundle it into a monthly retainer - for example, a $3,000/month legal services package that includes Parachute access, a set number of expert verifications, and ongoing advisory support
- Lead with the value - clients get AI-powered drafting, automated document review, and direct access to your firm for expert sign-off, all in one platform
- Emphasise the ongoing relationship - Parachute creates a continuous touchpoint with your clients rather than one-off engagements, generating predictable monthly recurring revenue for your firm
This model works particularly well for small and mid-size businesses that need legal support but can’t justify a full-time in-house legal team.
Before sending the invitation, make sure your firm is set up to give a good first impression:
- Complete your team profiles - ensure everyone who might handle verifications has a profile photo and name set up
- Build your knowledge base - add your firm’s precedents and templates so AI output reflects your standards
- Familiarise your team with the verification workflow so you can turn around the first review quickly
- Navigate to Clients in the sidebar
- Click Invite client
- Enter the client’s details - organisation name, contact email, industry, and jurisdictions
- Send the invitation
Your client receives an email to join Parachute. When they sign up, they’re automatically connected to your firm with a discounted subscription. All their verification requests route directly to you.

Once your client is on the platform, help them get the most out of it:
The knowledge base is what makes Parachute’s AI specific to their business. Offer to help them upload:
- Their existing policies and contracts
- Company information (industry, data processing activities, jurisdictions)
- Any regulatory frameworks they need to comply with
A well-populated knowledge base means better AI output, which means they’ll use the platform more - and request more verifications.
Show your client how to create a thread and draft a document. A good first exercise:
- Draft or review a document they’re already working on
- Run a document review so they can see the AI’s analysis
- Demonstrate how they can request expert verification when they need your sign-off
Let your client know how quickly they can expect verifications to be completed. Fast turnaround on the first few reviews builds trust and encourages them to use the feature regularly.
When your client submits their first verification request:
- It appears in your Unclaimed queue
- Claim it quickly - first impressions matter
- Provide thorough, actionable feedback with inline comments and suggestions
- Complete the verification and add any final notes
Your client receives a notification and can see your feedback directly in their document. A strong first review sets the tone for the ongoing relationship.
Once the first client is onboarded and happy:
- Invite more clients - each new client on the platform generates verification revenue for your firm
- Monitor quality - track CSAT ratings in your dashboard and address any issues early
- Refine your packaging - adjust your service bundles based on what clients use most
- Inviting clients - technical walkthrough of client invitations
- Verification workflow - how to handle incoming verification requests
- Credits - how credits work for your clients
